Patti was recently notified that Campbell House Bed & Breakfast is included in the Winter 2008 Edition of The Haute List—A Guide to the Best of Pittsburgh.
Campbell House tops the list for the lodging category along with some of Pittsburgh's best hotels and resorts such as Seven Springs and Nemacolin Woodlands.
The Haute List says of Campbell House, "Quaint, charming and private, this B&B is just a short trip for a romantic getaway in the Laurel Highlands. Walk to Ligonier's unique shops, antique stores, restaurants and Fort Ligonier. Within driving distance of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and historic battlefields. Haute List, Campbell House was
also selected for inclusion in the
Pennsylvania Bed & Breakfast
Cookbook, a 300-page cookbook
published earlier this year by 3D
Press Inc. It is subtitled “Recipes
with a Pennsylvania Flair Shared
by Innkeepers from Bed &
Breakfasts and Country Inns
Statewide.”
The cookbook includes a nice description of the Campbell House, along with several photos, and Patti’s recipe for “Roasted Pears with Cherry Maraschino Craisins,” a tasty recipe “well-loved by Campbell House guests,” notes the cookbook.
Campbell will be celebrating
her 15th year in Ligonier in
2008, when the community
observes the 250th anniversary
of Fort Ligonier’s construction
in 1758.
