Campbell House Celebrates 17 Years with Enhanced Curb & Guest Appeal…

Campbell House B&B has been a work in progress since I purchased the residence with quilt shop in 1993.  Sometimes the work was overwhelming, sometimes slow, many times taking 4 steps forward only to take 5 steps back.   Today, after 17 years of never ending work…I feel Campbell House (both inside and out) has “arrived” to the place I have always envisioned.

The trim on the B&B is now painted “wine glass” a beautiful burgandy color-after years of yearning for a entrance door to compliment the custom storm door with an oval (there wasn’t a Home Depot or Lowe’s when I had Cumberland make the door) I was able to purchase a door at Longbarn in Ebensburg.  Nothing is square or plum in either the B&B or motel…so every project is more time consuming as well as costly.   The door has been installed…what a beauty as well as an enhancement to the look I have created.   The sidewalks have been replaced…flower beds now surround the front porch.  New lights have been installed over the Campbell House sign…with the swags taken away.  The downspouts and gutters have been cleaned…next both porch floors will get a fresh coat of paint, along with replacing one of the canvas blinds on the front porch…

It took 17 years, a lot of work, tears, money and love…
